Just by looking at your device you can usually tell what is broken when it comes to screens and LCD’s. This is a brief guide which will help you recognise what needs replacing and what that repair will cost.
Touch screen glass digitiser also known as the external screen is the most common repair we see here at Next Gen Solutions. It’s a simple diagnosis, if the external screen is cracked but the device still works with no sign of damage to the under screen then it’s safe to say this is the only replacement needed. Most of the time the touch screen works fine, allowing the user full use of their handset, however this is relatively uncomfortable as shards of glass will normally become dislodged!
LCD screen display is the underscreen of the iPhone. This gives the display and picture for the phone and is also the touch detection area. If there is no sign of damage to the external screen however you notice a bleed or dark patches on your display this is normally caused by a cracked screen display. Unfortunately when this goes the iPhone normally becomes unusable.
Water damage is another cause of iPhone death. The tell tale sign of water damage on your handset (Apart from watching in horror as it drops into a pint!) is the red indicators on the iPhone. There is one at the top where the headphones go. If you look down there should be a white spot, if this has become red then this is a sign of water damage. Also there is one where you insert the charger, just below the charging pins.

Touch screen/Digitiser Repair: £60
The touch screen is your external screen on your iPhone. We will remove the broken/damaged part and replace it making your device look good as new! Why run the risk of the screen sustaining even more damaged when you can get it repaired for a reasonable price?
LCD Screen Display: £70
The display and LCD is much tougher than the external screen but when it breaks it causes a huge problem, you can’t use your phone anymore! Well we can sort that for you by removing the damaged part and replacing this for you!
Combination: £110
If you’ve had an unfortunate accident and both your LCD and touch screen display have become damaged then we will happily repair this for you. As above we will remove the damaged part and replace this.
Rear Casing Replacement: £40
Over time your iPhone is bound to get knocked about and unfortunately the rear casing may crack or become damaged. If this is the case then we will replace this for you and restore your iPhone making it as good as new!
Replacement Bezel: £40
The Bezel is the metallic piece that surround the iPhone’s screen. Over time, like the rear casing, this can become scratched or marked. We can replace your existing bezel and replace it with a brand new part, giving your iPhone it’s glamorous looks back once again!
Rear Casing and Bezel Combination: £60
If your iPhone has seen better days and both your rear casing and bezel are looking a little worse for wear then maybe it’s worth investing to get both pieces restored? If you do go ahead with this then you may as well take advantage of our combination deal!
