Sony Ericsson W995
The W995 seems to be the C905 reincarnated. Hopefully this time we’ll have a little more luck with reliability? Well this phone is packed full of some great features including, 8.1 megapixel camera, GPS, mp3 player and much more. Considering the specifications it’s also a great looking handset and not particularly large either!
Construction and Build:
The W995 is a really smart phone. It looks and feels great. Everything about it feels well made and it defiantely looks as though it could handle a real good bash.
The screen is a great size and the keypad is equally as nice. The kick stand found on the back of the handset really comes in handy considering that this phone really has some great multimedia potential. Also it’s good to see a 3.5mm jack on a Sony Ericson!
Camera:
The camera isn’t as great as the C905 but it doesn’t fall far short. The major let downs are the lack of any lens protection and only an LED flash rather than xenon. However this device is more focused at multimedia rather than purely camera so we’ll let it off.
Conclusion:
If you liked the C905 and the way it operated then you’re bound to be impressed by the W995. It’s a great phone with some great features and I have to say, I didn’t experience a single fault whiles using it! Could these be the end of those pesky software and hardware faults Sony Ericson has been experiencing? Lets hope so!
I would definitely recommend this handset to anyone who wants a phone with a really good multimedia set up. It’s well worth the investment!
